From the rough casting to the final product, every manufacturing step for the Giotto's Lenses conforms to strict quality control: the Ohara optical glass with 1/4 wavelength thick coating allows ensures that almost every ray passes through and focuses precisely on the negative or CCD: a special coating on the lens reduces image halos and enhances contrast; precise edge grinding procedure controls the centering within I min of arc. In addition, Giottos uses GT7/SOCOINK No.3 to assure even and firm inking. All of these contribute to ensure the capturing the best image possible.

In contrast with the more common AA6061 Aluminum alloy bodies, ours are seamless high strength bodies of AA5056, Aluminum-magnesium alloy, made in Japan with the latest CNC one-step shaping method. This shaping method employs hyper-thick anode-oxidation, which makes Giotto's lens system unrivaled for super hardness, super durability, smear-resistance, moisture-proof, dust-proof, wear resistance, and corrosion-resistance.
