The four-section version of the 190 MagFiber is more compact when folded than the three-section 190MF3, but slightly shorter when fully open. 

The MagFiber series represents the top of the Manfrotto tripod range, providing professional photographers a tripod that, though light compact and simple, is of high quality, strong and extremely versatile. To reduce the weight of the tripod without any compromise on stability, the legs are made of unique, three-faceted 1.2 mm thick carbon fiber tubes combined with magnesium and resin quick-action lever locks.
The tripod shoulder uses the patented design of the 190PRO tripod, which is able to convert the 2-part center column into a lateral arm. Unscrewing the two parts of the center column allows you to leave the head mounted on the top part - which serves as a short column - when switching between low angle and normal shooting positions. The tripod also has four angle leg settings to facilitate low- and intermediate-angle positioning. 

All parts are assembled using a proven pressure clamping technology that eliminates failure-prone glue joints for greater durability and in-the-field serviceability. To make transportation easier, the tripod is supplied with a padded carrying strap that can also operate like a hook in order to hang weights from to increase the stability of the tripod during shoots in extreme wind conditions.

While previous carbon fibre tripods from Manfrotto were extremely nice to use (especially on long walk or in cold conditions) they generally required a second mortgage on your house.
