#12 Deep yellow (74% transmission): Enhances red & orange features on Jupiter and Saturn blocking blue and green wavelengths. It also lightens the red and orange features on Mars. increasing the contrast with the blue and green areas. It also enhances the blue clouds in the Martian atmosphere. Very nice for increasing contrast in lunar features in telescopes of 150mm aperture or above.
#21 Orange (46% transmission): Reduces transmission of blue and green wavelengths increaing the contrast between these coloured areas and red, yellow or orange areas. Especially good an Mars, sharpening the boundaries between these colours. Also useful on Jupiter to sharpen the contrast in the belts and to bring out the Great Red Spot. Also increases detail on Saturn.
#25 Red (25% transmission): Strongly blocks the transmission of blue and green wavelengths, sharply defining the contrast between the cloud formations and the lighter toned features on Jupiter. Also useful for defining the polar caps on Mars. Because of the greatly reduced light transmission this filter is best used on telescopes of 200m aperture or greater.
#56 Light Green (63% light transmission): An excellent filter to use for observations of the Martian polar caps and dust storms. It also increases contrast between the red and blue regions on Jupiter. Aslo useful for Lunar observations.
