The “Leica D” lens is the first interchangeable lens for D-SLR cameras developed by Leica Camera AG in collaboration with Panasonic. Thanks to the MEGA O.I.S. optical image stabilizer, this lens makes it possible to capture clear, beautiful macro close-ups or to shoot in dim lighting without a tripod. Its superb optical performance minimizes distortion and peripheral vignetting at the wide end. When mounted on the DMC-L1, the Leica D lens lets users enjoy analog-like operation with the aperture ring on the lens barrel.
